This workshop teaches you what Generative UI actually means beyond simple chat interfaces and LLM responses.

You will learn to build Generative UI features using the Vercel AI SDK Gen UI primitives, understanding how tools map to components. The workshop covers the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and demonstrates how MCP-UI exposes interactive UI components from MCP servers.

You will compare several practical approaches to implementing Generative UI, including the Vercel AI SDK, MCP-UI, v0, custom JSON UI schemas, and RSC streaming. By the end, you will have practical experience with multiple Gen UI techniques and understand when to apply each approach in your projects.
